About Us
2011 marks the 10th annual appearance of the JPF Rumble - Jeremy Patrick Falkner Memorial. The Festival is organized by Arapahoe Youth League.
On June 30, 2001, Jeremy Falkner passed away in an auto accident. He was 19 years old. In his memory, the Arapahoe Youth League founded the Jeremy Patrick Falkner Memorial (JPF Rumble). The Festival is a pre-season event that helps participating teams evaluate players and gain valuable experience for the upcoming season.
Each year, the JPF Rumble devotes the income it generates (minus costs) to providing several $1,000 scholarships. One is given to the winner of the Arapahoe High School "Warrior Award" (for Offensive MVP), which Jeremy won his senior year at AHS. Other scholarships are given to high school senior football players who have played the longest in the AYL and have given back to the AYL by officiating games.
Recipients are chosen from applications received by October 31st. Administered by Pat Falkner, Jeremy's father, the "Jeremy Patrick Falkner Scholarship – AYL" is open to all high school senior football players. Scholarship winners receive the award at half-time of the AYL 8th-Grade Super Bowl games. The only requirement for winners is that they attend college.
